Truck Extraction Mount

Our trucks are equipped with water extraction units to remove as much moisture before we set drying equipment. Portable units can be used on losses as well, but often times a larger truck-mounted extractor is needed. These mounts store extracted water in the vehicle until we can properly drain them elsewhere.

Water Extraction in Orlando, FL

When water is extracted from an Orlando homeowner or business owner's property using an extraction wand connected to a hose, the water travels directly to our truck where it is stored until it can be dispensed of properly.

Water Restoration Winter Park

After a late night call, dehumidifiers and air movers were placed inside this home after a water damage. Air movers create air flow with the dry heat coming from the dehumidifiers allowing the structure to dry. This might be a rare sight for you but this is a common site for our production technicians!

Tear out of Wood Flooring

Not all flooring is able to be salvaged after a water damage. Some factors that determine if the material is salvageable are: The category of water involved in the damage, the amount of time allowed to settle before our arrival, and the type of flooring. In this case, the type of flooring included a vapor barrier preventing evaporation which also means that the affected floor will be unable to dry.

Floor Mat System

Here at SERVPRO of Winter Park we have many restoration techniques that we use to dry structures back to their normal condition without the need to replace the material. One of our favorite toys is our Floor Mat System! As you can see in the picture, the floor mat system connects the vacuum (which is that green machine in the middle) to multiple mats through the use of connectors and hoses. The powerful combination of suction by use of the mat and vacuum allows the vacuum to draw out moisture from underneath the floor. The water is then turned into vapor and released into the air. The Dehumidifier then draws that vapor out of the air, turns it back into water, and proceeds to pump it out into a drain source. Pretty neat! If you're into the science of restoration that is.
